• The cold-start problem is a well known challenge for startups. Alphas Season members will help ImmutableType gain traction to build its operations to serve real membership needs.
• 5,000 members is an important milestone. 75% of American towns have 5,000 or fewer residents, and we believe this size community will give us the clearest feedback to serve those audiences.
• 5,000 is, also, an above average audience size for a journalist. This membership count will give our earliest journalists a meaningful audience to support their work. 
• Inspiration and drive. We can't do the work if nobody is here to enjoy it with us.
